Our 2007 Vacation to New Zealand and Australia

Vivian and I had a wonderful vacation in late November, 2007, to Auckland and Queenstown in New Zealand and to Cairns and Sydney in Australia.

In Auckland we visited the zoo and War Museum as well as walking around downtown. In Queenstown we had a (right hand drive) car and visited Glenorchy and Arrowtown, took the steamship TSS Earnslaw across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm.

In Cairns we took day-long trips to Michaelmas Cay in the Great Barrier Reef and on the Kuranda Scenic Railway to Kuranda village and the Rainforestation.

In Sydney we stayed in The Rocks, walked around a lot, toured the Opera Hous, rode the ferry across the harbor to Taronga Zoo and spent an afternoon at Vegas-style casino/hotel Star City
